Men’s Counseling Group in Northwest Arkansas
A Men’s Group Built for Action, Not Just Discussion.
A structured 8-week program for men struggling with overthinking and self-doubt and want to create change with clarity and confidence.
You’re Functioning, But It’s Costing You.
You’re making it work. You show up for the other people in your life and do what’s expected, but underneath that functioning you’re second-guessing yourself, mentally replaying past decisions, and overthinking choices for the future.
To others, you’re strong, reliable, and don’t complain. To you, it feels like you’re performing.
It’s exhausting.
You want confidence and clarity that feels real, not like a performance.
You Want Action — Not Just Talk
You’re ready for change, but may feel uncertain how to make it happen.
You’ve thought about reaching out, or maybe someone in your life has suggested you could use support.
One-on-one therapy can feel like a big step. Sitting across from a stranger asking questions you’re not sure how to answer can feel intense. Talk alone seems like it may not hold the answers to the change you want.
What if you could enter a space with others like you and know you’re not alone — drawing on the strength of community rather than being put the spot?
This group is structured, practical, and skills focused.
Not endless discussion. Not forced vulnerability.
The Man of ACT-ion Men’s Group
The Man of ACT-ion group is an 8-week, in-person counseling group grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It combines psychoeducation, experiential exercises, and structured discussion to help men develop psychological flexibility — the ability to respond to stress with clarity instead of reacting on autopilot.
ACT focuses on building psychological flexibility, learning to notice your thoughts and emotions without being controlled by them, and choosing actions that align with what matters most to you.
Through this group, you’ll learn how to:
Step back from overthinking instead of getting hooked by it
Reduce rigid control and increase adaptability
Clarify your values and act on them
Strengthen focus and decision-making under pressure
This will be a hybrid group, combining learning, doing, and discussing. Each session will include:
Psychoeducation – Clear teaching on one of the six core ACT processes, translated into practical language.
Experiential Practice – Guided exercises to apply concepts in real time.
Structured Discussion – Focused group dialogue to integrate learning into daily life.
Between-Session Application – Practical challenges to build skill outside the room.
The Details
Who This is For
This group is for men who are functioning but feel mentally exhausted by overthinking the efforts to control everything around them looking for tools and ideas beyond insight alone. It’s for men who are open to practicing skills and supporting each other in that practice and willing to participate — even if cautiously.
This may not be a good fit for men seeking crisis stabilization, open-ended processing, or who don’t quite feel ready to explore a new way of living and acting.
A brief screening process will ensure appropriate fit prior to enrollment.
What, When, & Where
The Man of ACT-ion group will be an 8-week group meeting once per week for 90 minutes each time.
The group will start in mid-2026.
The group will be a closed space for 10 individuals. Those interest will be screened and selected to create a space where all in the group feel safe and supported in learning and growing.
Specific dates, times, and meeting location in Northwest Arkansas to be determined.
